We stand by
Bharatiya Gorkha Prajatantrik Morcha shall bear true faith and allegiance to the sacred constitution of India as by law established and to the principle of socialism, secularism and democracy and shall uphold the sovereignty, unity and integrity of the Indian Union.
The Bharatiya Gorkha Prajatantrik Morcha shall always fight for the democratic and constitutional rights; and also establish the national identity of the Indian Gorkhas living all over India.
MISSION
2021
+Inception of the party BGPM.
+Anit Thapa launched his own party, the Bharatiya Gorkha Prajatantrik Morcha (BGPM) in September 9, 2021 at Darjeeling. The launch program was held at Darjeeling Gymkhana Club.
+BGPM with its extensive membership drive and winning key elections like GTA, Panchayat became the major political force in the hills.
2022
+First election fought under the banner of BGPM was Darjeeling Municipality election in March 2022 . BGPM won 8 seats. Later 9 Councillors joined BGPM. BGPM is running the Board currently. Dipen Thakuri is the Chairman of the board.
+ BGPM won 27 Seats in GTA election held on June 2022 and headed GTA under the leadership of Anit Thapa.
2023
+ BGPM pledged to Bring back Panchayati Raj and in 2023, 2 tier Panchayat election (July 2023) was conducted in GTA region after 23 years.
+ BGPM have formed board in 8 out of 9 Panchayat samitis and 103 out of 117 Gram Sabha.
2024
+Initiated process for Granting Land rights to tea garden residents.
+Regional SSC has been established.
